Baker Built was engaged to construct a new multi-sport outdoor court at Merriwa Public School, designed to provide a safe and durable surface for student activities and school sporting programs. The works were completed for the NSW Department of Education and delivered with precision, attention to drainage and slope requirements, and full compliance with safety standards.
The project included site preparation and the construction of a 32m x 18m x 100mm thick concrete slab with a 1% cross fall in both directions, ensuring proper water runoff and structural performance. A three-coat low-slip acrylic court surfacing system was applied to support high traction and safety for student use across a variety of sports. The result is a vibrant, long-lasting facility that enhances the school’s outdoor amenities and provides students with a quality recreational space year-round.
