New Student Amenities Building at Umina Beach Public School
Baker Built delivered a complete design and construction package for a new student amenities building at Umina Beach Public School, improving the school’s amenity capacity, accessibility and day-to-day functionality.
The works included a new girls’ amenities area, a fully accessible toilet, shower and change room, and a secure 30 m² storeroom. The building was integrated with the existing school structure and finished with durable, low-maintenance materials suited to a busy education environment and coastal location.

About The Project
Student Amenities Upgrade at Umina Beach Public School
Baker Built was engaged to design, construct and certify a new student amenities building on the northern side of an existing school structure. The project was delivered to provide safe, durable and compliant facilities that support the daily needs of students, staff and the wider school community.
The new girls’ amenities include six toilet cubicles, including one ambulant toilet, with concealed plumbing, vandal-resistant fixtures, compliant basins, floor wastes, commercial-grade tiling and secure gated access for supervision and safety.
A separate accessible toilet, shower and change room was also delivered, incorporating laundry provisions, a compliant toilet and shower, space for a change table, structural wall supports for a future hoist, vinyl flooring with falls to floor wastes, full waterproofing and an emergency help alarm system.
The project also included a new secure storeroom, service relocations, upgraded ventilation, stormwater drainage, electrical and hydraulic works, a DDA-compliant concrete pathway, a covered walkway matched to the school’s existing system, and full make-good of affected turf, synthetic grass, fencing, edging, pathways and garden bed areas.
