A Safer, More Functional Outdoor Environment for Students & Staff
Commissioned by the Department of Education, this retaining wall remediation project transformed aging and unsafe infrastructure into a cohesive, durable, and visually improved outdoor space. Working across three separate retaining wall sections (RW1, RW2, and RW3), Baker Built delivered a full scope of demolition, construction, and compliance works — all aligned with EFSG standards and strict WHS protocols.
The project included new concrete capping, resurfacing, handrails, concrete pathways, stair safety upgrades, and decking replacement. A new artificial turf system was installed to improve usability and safety, ensuring the long-term durability of the school’s external play and learning environments.

About The Project
Retaining Wall Remediation at Valley View Public School
Completed for the NSW Department of Education, this project focused on replacing deteriorating retaining walls with structurally sound, WHS-compliant solutions across multiple outdoor spaces.
